• Breastfeeding is Good for You and Baby in regards to bonding. Breastfeeding allows mum become close to your baby and have a real connection with her/him. Baby will feel safe and relaxed
• Breastmilk is easily digested and is deemed best for your baby by lots of organisations like World Health Organisation (WHO)  as it is breastmilk proteins are small in size. Breastmilk is also full of enzymes which will also aid your baby digestion
• Immunity is a big advantage as breastmilk contains constitutients that can protect your baby from infections as their immunity is immature and not  always fit to fight on its own.
• Stools. Yes breastmilk has good effect on stools as it tends to be softer and smaller and less smelly!
• Allergies.  Breastfeeding babies exclusively until 6 months can decrease incidence of food allergies due to the lining of the gut not fully formed until this time.
• Intelligence. There are studies to suggest that breastfed babies have higher IQ

These are only a few reasons why breast is good for newborn babies.  We will take a look at each area in time and look at the studies behind these really good reasons why by breastfeeding you are giving your baby a great start in life in terms of emotiional closeness to you as well as their health and intellignece.

• One reason is we  wanted to create a place where everyone and not only our Sweet Nursing customers ( our  online store which stocks a nice range of nursing clothes, nursing covers and nursing accessories from booby boosters to breastfeeding sling) can find some useful infomation on breastfeeding.
• We want Sweet Nursing Cafe to be a place where mums can find out lots of other interesting stuff that I or other mums discover along the path of bringing a baby into the world. I know from my own experience, when you are pregnant or in the early days of getting to grips with a baby, you long to find out more info and this is where our Sweet Nursing Cafe will come in handing for other mums and dads
• We would also love to talk more about making mums feel good about themselves, so lots of stuff just for mums like looking and feeling good when you are up to your eyes in toys and nappies!
• We also love finding lovely new products and of course nice nursing clothes is our business and if we have something new in that we know our mums would like to hear about we can let ye all know at the CAFe too. I love when a new box arrives with new stock, I love to open the boxes and see what nice clothes have arrived. I know that sounds a bit strange as the clothes are not for me but I still love to see them coming cause someone will get a chance to feel good in a top from our store..
• I love travelling and having kids hasnt dampened my appetite to travel and this is another area we shall have lots of things to talk about so whethers its a visit to a local part, a day trip or just somewhere id love to see, we will find time to do that too.
• We also hope to post about general kids stuff  to cooking  to my crafting which brings me to my attempts to create more Homemade stuff and be more like Kirsty!

The Sweet Nursing Cafe Journey could take this blog anywhere as its in its infancy right now. We are geared and ready for action and whatever parenting topics we meet along the way we hope to write it here.

But in saying that Ive come across a few styles that are quite stylish, flattering to your new figure, (which isn’t always as want it to be) and they can be dressed up or dress down.

The first top is this fab AVA blue nursing top and it works great from many angles. The lovely blue is fresh and colourful yet not too strong. It has a scooped neck which has flowing pleats that cascade the fabric  from the neckline down to the gathered in bottom which has this fantastic effect of disguising your postpartum tummy making the whole outfit look really flattering.

Another great nursing top that does works like this ava nursing top is this really beautiful Janine breastfeeding top in Midnight Blue. It works on the same principle as the AVA top in that it uses the pleats to create a flow of the fabric . This top is longer and has a really nice detailed bottom panel which would pear off nicely with jeans, trousers or a skirt. The Janine breast feeding top would look great at pracically all occassions as it is easy to dress it up or dress it down depending on your needs.

They come in black, blue, slate grey or red so there is a colour for everyone there. No doubt black is probably a favourite for many but for those who like a splash of colour the blue is a fantasic vibrant blue that will look good this summer.

We at Sweet Nursing Cafe are also fans of crafting, beautiful fabrics and little Saturday afternoon projects. We love creating crafts that are not just for kids crafts but crafts that are also for mom or cute stuff for around the house.

We have discovered a really neat idea for nursing mothers. Its a nursing undershirt which does what it says on the tin… You wear it under your ordinary pre-pregnancy tops and it does the work of a nursing top. Couldnt be simplier.

There are so many nursing top brands and nursing top options out there from wrap to empire line, to pull down to modesty panel, the list goes on. So to be confused with what type of nursing top opening is probably an understatement.

Thats why i like the idea of a undershirt because it creates a simple double layer effect, which keeps mums tummy covered while nursing which is for many especially in the early days .
